I recently received a jar of lavender sugar from a friend and decided to make this heavenly concoction for Mother's Day. I'm obsessed with anything lavender, so this was right up my alley! I often sprinkle the sugar in my toddler's Bulgarian yogurt for breakfast and he loves it!
The sugar itself is quite simple to make; simply blend one cup of granulated sugar with two tablespoons of organic culinary grade lavender flowers in a food processor. Then decorate your container as you see fit. I used a Bormioli Rocco Quattro Stagioni Anphora 10 ounce canning jar, brown burlap, raffia and handmade recipe card with hang tag.
This is sure to be a great addition to any pantry and makes a wonderful housewarming gift or party favor! Stir into hot or iced tea, sweeten scone, pancake, or muffin batter, sprinkle over sugar cookies before baking, or mix into softened butter for a sweet, herbaceous spread. The possibilites are endless and delicious!
